- FNTV names award-winning telecom and digital infrastructure journalist Mitch Wagner as editorial director
- Wagner hits the ground running with Silicon Valley interviews and reporting on AI, networking, cloud and data center infrastructure
- The veteran technology journalist will expand FNTV and Fierce Network coverage through original reporting, executive interviews, research and analysis
One of the first principles of FNTV is that journalism requires showing up. It means getting on planes, visiting companies, asking difficult questions, walking factory floors, touring data centers and spending time with the people who are actually building the future. That's how we've grown FNTV into one of the most influential executive video platforms covering digital infrastructure (266,000 subscribers? Hell yes!)
I'm therefore delighted to welcome Mitch Wagner as editorial director of FNTV. His output will also run on Fierce Network.
Mitch and I have worked together on and off since the turn of the century. He combines deep technical understanding with the curiosity to ask the questions that matter and the ability to explain complex subjects without oversimplifying them.
In his first week on the job, Mitch travelled to Silicon Valley and met with AMD, Arista, Schneider Electric, Vast Data, Arrcus, startup Apelogic and Palo Alto Networks, . Several stories were written and published immediately with more to follow over the coming days. That's how we roll at FNTV: get into the field, meet people face-to-face, gather original insights and bring them back to our audience.
Mitch has been covering telco and enterprise technology for more than 25 years, with deep expertise AI, cloud and data center technologies. He joined Fierce Network in 2024, in which year his editorial content for Fierce won a 2024 Eddie and Ozzie Award in the News Coverage category. Mitch previously held leadership positions at Light Reading and InformationWeek. He lives in San Diego with his wife and several geriatric animals.
As AI, networking, data centers, power, cloud and digital infrastructure converge into a new world of operational sovereignty, there has never been a greater need for experienced journalists who can connect the dots and explain the bigger picture.
Mitch will play a major role in helping us do exactly that, through articles, executive interviews, research, documentaries and original analysis.

Welcome, Mitch. LFG!
