Samsung Android Developer Forum goes live

Samsung Electronics unveiled a new Android developer forum promising technical support and related resources. Development tools include SDK plug-ins to assist with Augmented Reality or personalized location-based services as well as the dynamic Theme Tool, Sensor Simulator and Remote Test Lab, giving developers the latitude to test applications remotely on a real device. The Samsung Android Developer Forum supplements the existing Samsung Developers website, which assembles information and insight on all of the manufacturer's current development platforms (bada, Java, Widgets and Themes) and serves as a single integrated gateway to access SDKs, tutorial videos and both hardware and software updates.

Samsung offers roughly two dozen Android smartphones across all four national U.S. operators--the manufacturer's portfolio includes the Samsung Captivate, Continuum, Vibrant and Galaxy 4G. The company also offers the Android 2.2-powered Galaxy Tab tablet.
