Symbian Partner Network launches

Mobile software licensing firm Symbian announced the launch of the Symbian Partner Network, a new program promising developers closer and more efficient collaboration with the Symbian OS ecosystem. According to Symbian, key selling points of the SPN include a simplified sign-up process, click-through licenses and online payment system; access to the SDN++ private developer portal; improved technical support; early looks at technology roadmaps and related documentation; and enhanced marketing and business development opportunities, including admission to the annual Symbian Partner Event. Annual membership cost: $1500.
