Apple shores up its board

Apple has appointed Arthur Levinson as non-executive chairman of the board, and Robert Iger as a board member on the audit committee

Levinson has been co-lead director of Apple’s board since 2005, serving on all three board committees— audit and finance; nominating and corporate governance; and compensation.

Iger is president and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company who is credited with spearheading the firm’s push into new media. He also sits on a number of business and US government committees.
