SAP to acquire Highdeal

The rating and charging software specialist Highdeal announced at the Management World event in Nice that it will be acquired by SAP. Highdeal has HQ in Caen, France. It was spun off from the research and development labs of France Telecom in 2000 and is privately owned.

It has 200 implementations in over 50 countries.

Isabelle Roussin, Highdeal’s executive VP, marketing, comments, “We are very unusual in this market in that 80% our income comes through licensing agreements with partners.” She said more information about the integration with SAP would be made public once the deal was finalised, which is expected to happen by June. She wouldn’t comment on possible job losses.

For now the companies are only saying that Highdeal’s expertise will be assimilated into SAP’s billing solution to offer “a packaged consume-to-cash business process platform to support high-volume billing.”

No financial details were disclosed.
