Ethernet campus switch global revenue grew 3% Y/Y in 1Q 2025, says DellʼOro Group

According to a recently published report from Dell’Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the telecommunications, security, networks, and data center industries, 1Q 2025 worldwide Ethernet Campus Switch revenues grew by 3% year-over-year (Y/Y), with a sharp contraction in China pulling down worldwide sales.

“As we predicted, the Ethernet Campus Switch market has now emerged from the digestion phase and returned to a demand-based dynamic,” said Siân Morgan, Research Director at Dell’Oro Group. “Despite an uncertain macroeconomic context, Campus Switch revenues in North America grew 12 percent, with most vendors seeing a small amount of orders pulled forward by enterprises aiming to avoid tariff-related price increases.

“1Q 2025 was the first quarter that all major enterprise class WLAN vendors were selling at least one Wi-Fi 7 AP,” added Morgan.  “The shift to Wi-Fi 7 is expected to trigger switch renewals over the next two years, as enterprises add more PoE and higher bandwidth ports to support the latest Wi-Fi technology.”
