Nutanix acquired France-based Ryax Technologies, an AI-driven compute orchestration and management platform company, as it looks to strengthen its enterprise agentic AI play. The company plans to integrate Ryax’s GPU utilization and smart scheduling capabilities into Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI, giving customers tools to better place and manage AI workloads across hybrid environments.
Nutanix said the rise of agentic AI is increasing demand for efficient inference workloads, even as GPU shortages and fragmented infrastructure push enterprises to spread compute across private data centers, hyperscalers and neoclouds. Ryax is designed to automate infrastructure, data, hardware and code management so customers can move AI projects from experimentation into production faster and with less manual configuration.
The acquisition centers on two capabilities: Intelligent Resource Optimization, which aims to improve use of GPUs and CPUs, and AI-Aware Smart Scheduling, which can place workloads on cost-effective hardware based on performance and budget needs. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Nutanix has said the deal is not expected to have a material financial impact.
Ryax employees will join Nutanix in France and continue developing the technology.
