A new report by Ookla found that only three out of the 48 major airports it studied met the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) benchmark for Wi-Fi and mobile performance in the first quarter of 2025.

The report examined data from the company's free Speedtest service to compare user-measured speeds in 48 major airports against the FCC's benchmarks (100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload). All in all, the report found that only three airports — Phoenix Skyharbor, Hangzhou Xiaoshan and Toronto Pearson international airports — met the benchmark for both in-airport Wi-Fi and mobile internet.
