Cellular Evolution in the Era of AI: The Road to 6G

Available on-demand
60 Minutes

AI use is accelerating rapidly. While today’s AI applications can operate on 5G networks, scaling intelligence across growing numbers of users and devices, while responding to real‑time context, is exposing fundamental limits in how mobile networks are designed.

This webinar explores how AI is shaping the early direction of 6G, from changes in traffic patterns to new approaches to network intelligence and system architecture, and why future networks are being designed to more tightly integrate connectivity with sensing and distributed compute. Building on this foundation, it also presents, for the first time, how these requirements are influencing the design of the 6G air interface itself, highlighting emerging directions toward a more unified and flexible radio framework shaped by new spectrum opportunities and coordinated evolution with 5G to support scalability, efficiency, and long‑term growth.

Topics covered

  • How AI-driven applications challenge long‑standing network assumptions
  • Why 6G is being defined now
  • New details on how AI‑driven requirements are shaping the design of the 6G air interface
