CCA’s Mobile Carriers Show to Focus on 5G, Enterprise Opportunities and Policy Issues

By Steven K. Berry, President & CEO, CCA

Competitive Carriers Association’s (CCA) 2019 Mobile Carriers Show (MCS) set for April 8-10 in Denver will provide a unique venue for hundreds of carrier personnel from across the competitive carrier ecosystem to come together to network, share best practices and meet with vendors. The majority of carriers attending MCS are C-level executives or key decisionmakers who come to hear about the latest innovations in 5G, IoT products and services, customer retention strategies and policy issues from thought leaders across the mobile industry.

This year MCS will have a strong focus on 5G and will feature T-Mobile’s 5G Tech Experience Truck in the exhibit hall. The semi-truck is traveling around the country, making a stop at MCS2019 to demonstrate how the future of wireless will unleash endless possibilities and transform the world as we know it today.

The exhibit floor will bring together technology vendors, infrastructure and IoT innovators, backhaul providers, handset, small cells, Wi-Fi, device and app developers, and other industries focused on reaching the North American competitive carrier market, which spend more than $15 billion annually on products and services related to the wireless industry.

Industry expert Chetan Sharma will moderate a keynote panel on April 10, “Realizing the 5G Promise,” taking a critical look at the potential of 5G and the new techniques and methodologies that are needed to deal with the continued growth of data traffic that is unlikely to slow down in the foreseeable future.

The MCS educational program is divided into four tracks Business Development, Technical, Policy and Innovation and Marketing/Customer service and will include sessions on innovative small cell solutions, turning data into insights, customer loyalty programs, how spectrum is powering today’s most innovative technologies, and more.

On Monday, April 8, The Besen Group will host a seminar, “An In-Depth Look at Private LTE Applications & Business Models” which will examine the fast-growing private LTE business opportunity. Presenters will share use cases demonstrating how carriers can have a positive return on investment.

New this year and available to all MCS attendees is Award Solutions’ 5G Integration Experience. This highly-interactive session offers a tactile, engaging approach to anyone interested in learning more about 5G.  Participants will get to construct network models of the key 5G building blocks, design networks for specific 5G use-case deployment scenarios, and learn some anticipated challenges with 5G/LTE interworking.

Finance and marketing executives and directors from carrier companies can participate in carrier-only meetings that will feature roundtable discussions to brainstorm ideas, discuss strategies and share best practices in their respective fields. This unmatched networking and business development session is available only at CCA’s shows and provides an enormous benefit to carriers attending the show.

CCA will host a Fun Run/Walk 5K and 1-mile loop community service event on Monday, April 8 that will benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies, a local charity that focuses on ending hunger.  Participants will spend time in Colorado’s beautiful outdoors with colleagues along the race route. The finish line will host the MCS Cookout: The Big Grill, the largest networking event of the show, sponsored by Sprint. The grills will be hot and the drinks cold, and it’s the perfect way to kick-off the show for all attendees.

With all of this and more available to attendees, CCA’s 2019 Mobile Carriers Show is a must-attend industry event. Register early for the best rates; don’t miss out on this unique carrier-focused show in Denver.
