PEG Bandwidth, an emerging wireless backhaul specialist, has added over 1,100 new fiber route miles by completing its acquisition of Contact Network, which does business as InLine.
InLine's territory slightly overlaps partially with PEG's footprint in Mississippi.
Besides increasing its fiber route mile footprint in Mississippi and Alabama, the acquisition gives PEG Bandwidth a foundation to expand its fiber-based services into other vertical markets including education, hospitals, first responders and other large businesses.
Under the terms of the agreement, InLine will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of PEG Bandwidth with InLine President Martin Costa maintaining his current role.
Having built a 13,000-route mile network that spans multiple states in the East, Midwest, and South, PEG could potentially use adapt InLine's experience in serving enterprise customers with fiber-based services in its existing markets.
