Savvis, a subsidiary of CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), is now targeting Hong Kong businesses by offering cloud services out of its data center.
Coming on the heels of its move to bring cloud services to Japan in February, Savvis said that Hong Kong is the latest country where it is offering businesses its Symphony Dedicated private cloud solution.
Savvis believes that Hong Kong is a hotbed of cloud service growth because it serves as gateway to enterprise opportunities in China.
"The launch will help Savvis meet the rapidly rising demand for enterprise-class IT services in Asia," said Mark Smith, Savvis managing director in Asia. "An important market for enterprises, Hong Kong often serves as a gateway for global clients seeking to extend their presence into Asia."
Out of its Hong Kong data center, Savvis will offer a full suite of infrastructure-as-a-service, managed applications, storage and backup services in addition co-location hosting services.
