Pac-West appoints board member James Hensel as CEO

Pac-West has capped off its ongoing stream of management changes by appointing veteran board member James Hensel as its new CEO.

Having been a member of Pac-West's board and as Senior VP of Ventures Corporation, Pac-West's since 2005, Hensel is certainly in tune with the service provider's operations. In addition to Pac-West, CVC's telecom portfolio includes Hibernia Atlantic, Magnet Networks, Pivotel Group, and PocketiNet Communications.

One thing that's not clear about Hensel's appointment is that the service provider did not reveal why or when former CEO Hal Turner left PacWest.

Hensel's appointment is one of several new executives to be appointed in recent months, beginning last June with naming Vic Bozzo as its President of the newly‐formed Emerging Technologies business unit and then promoting its former Senior Vice President of Engineering and Network Operations as Chief Operating Officer just this March.
