Savvis, CenturyLink's (NYSE: CTL) data hosting subsidiary has named three new executives--Ian Bryant, Eric McDougal and Nick Barley--to lead its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) leadership team.
All of these executives come to Savvis with varying degrees of experience in the IT and telecom industries, and have responsibility to expand Savvis' cloud, managed hosting and colocation services throughout the EMEA region.
A 25-year IT services veteran, Ian Bryant joins Savvis as VP of advanced services in EMEA from Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he oversaw the company's IT infrastructure services practice in Europe. Like Bryant, Savvis' new VP of international market, Nick Barley, comes to the company with over two decades of IT experience. He most recently served as Juniper Networks' VP of EMEA marketing.
Unlike Barley and Bryant, Savvis' VP of Sales for EMEA Eric McDougal has been with the company since 2007. During his tenure, he exceeded the sales quota for Savvis in the United States.
These appointments come as Savvis continues to be a growth engine for its parent CenturyLink. In the second quarter, Savvis' revenues rose 7.4 percent year-over-year with gains in both colocation and managed hosting. Colocation revenues rose 2.1 percent to $145 million, while managed hosting revenues rose 21 percent to $134 million.
In EMEA, the service provider enhanced its data center footprint by opening a new data center in London, adding about 25,000 square feet of floor space to its portfolio.
