Sidera introduces three new Ethernet Classes of Service

Sidera is sweetening its Ethernet service suite with three new Classes of Service (CoS) options that will give its carrier and enterprise customers the ability to prioritize network traffic.

Launched during this week's International Telecoms Week event in Washington, D.C., Sidera's CoS options will deliver performance based on low latency, jitter and availability metrics.

Leveraging QoS (quality of service) technology to tag and move data through its network, Sidera can help customers setting priorities to ensure that latency sensitive video, voice and high frequency trading gets priority over best effort e-mail traffic, for example.

As expected, Sidera is offering its CoS capabilities over its point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint Ethernet service options.
