TDS Telecom (NYSE: TDS) is nearly complete with an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus-funded broadband in the Iola and Scandinavia, Wis., area.
When the project is completed at the end of February, it will deliver broadband services to nearly 460 residents.
The service provider installed over nine miles of fiber cabling and nine remote terminal (RT) cabinets throughout its local Scandinavia Telephone Company subsidiary.
Similar to other projects, TDS will alert customers when service is accessible.
Earlier this month, the telco announced that has enabled 10,000 additional households in its serving territory thanks to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants it is using to conduct 44 broadband expansion projects.
Since June, TDS has completed nine other ARRA projects in Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, and New York. It is also in the process of completing projects in Alabama and Colorado.
