tw telecom to take part in World IPv6 Day

tw telecom (Nasdaq: TWTC) has confirmed its participation in World IPv6 day, an event it will use to demonstrate that its website will be reachable across IPv6-compatible networks.

While the IPv6 event may be new, tw telecom is not a stranger to IPv6, having delivered IPv6 services to its business customers since 2008.

Since IPv6 is not widely deployed yet, tw telecom has centered its attention on serving dual stack IPv4/IPv6 addressing configurations, which enables customers to manage IPv4 and IPv6 addressing across one port.

Proving its network can support IPv6 and also providing IPv4 to IPv6 transition services will be another place where tw telecom can enhance its relationship with its demanding enterprise and government clientele.
