Adamind, which provides media adaptation software, announced a deal with Universal Mobile Music. The company, which has been trailblazing deals across Europe and Asia, offers a centralized media-transcoding capability that automatically tailors content to the specifications of the network and device hardware--a critical ability for MMS. Universal Music plans to use Adamind's software to make all of the content provider's ring tones, videos and music compatible with any network and multimedia device. That's the name of the game for content players looking to get on the screens of every mobile customer in the market.
