As the world's largest network equipment supplier, Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has a unique, front-row seat into the nitty gritty details of wireless carrier networks. And Ulf Ewaldsson, Ericsson's CTO and senior vice president, is right at the head of that effort. Ewaldsson spoke to FierceWirelessTech Editor-in-Chief Sue Marek about the company's view of LTE Broadcast technology, particularly in relation to Verizon Wireless' (NYSE:VZ) planned launch of LTE Broadcast. Ewaldsson also discussed Ericsson's approach to Voice over LTE technology and talked about what exactly 5G will be.
