Hewlett-Packard said it will release the Wi-Fi-only version of its TouchPat webOS tablet on July 1 in the United States. The company will also partner with AT&T Mobility (NYSE:T) on a version of the tablet with cellular connectivity, which will be released this summer.

HP will sell the Wi-Fi-only version of the TouchPad for $499.99 for the 16GB model and $599.99 for the 32GB model, prices that align with Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad 2. Pre-orders of the TouchPad for North America and Europe will start June 19.
The TouchPad will be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany a few days after it goes on sale in the U.S., and in Canada in mid-July. HP said the TouchPad will also be available later this year in Italy and Spain, as well as in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
Interestingly, AT&T will be HP's wireless partner on the tablet, though the company did not reveal how much the AT&T version will cost or when it will be released. HP said that more details will be made available closer to launch. AT&T launched the HP Veer, the company's pint-sized smartphone with a 2.6-inch screen, on May 15 for $99.99 with a two-year contract.
The TouchPad is powered by Hewlett-Packard's webOS 3.0 operating system. The TouchPad sports a 9.7-inch screen, dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) Snapdragon processor, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chatting, internal stereo speakers and Beats Audio technology. HP continues to tout webOS' multitasking abilities, as well as its Synergy and Stacks features, which group related open apps into card stacks. The device also has the ability to share content with other webOS devices; for example, webOS smartphone users can transfer a webpage to the TouchPad simply by touching the two devices together.
