Rival mobile VPN companies NetMotion and Padcom announced their intent to merge in a deal that creates the largest dedicated provider of mobile VPN solutions. The combined company will be named NetMotion. The two have been embroiled in a patent dispute that resulted in a U.S. district court jury ruling that NetMotion infringed on two patents held by Padcom. Financial details of the merger weren't announced.
