The market for mobile phone accessories is set to generate a whopping $32 billion in 2007, much more than the $28 billion expected from the smart phone market, according to a recent report from ABI Research. About 77 percent of these revenues will come from the sales of "after-market" mobile phone accessories. By 2012 total accessories revenue will climb to $80 billion, according to the research firm.
