MTN Group may buy South African operator Investcom in one of the largest takeover deals ever commenced by a South African group. MTN said it agreed to acquisition terms of the company and could pay as much as $5.53 billion for Investcom, which owns operations in Africa and the Middle East. The combination of the two companies would create an operator serving 28.1 million subscribers in 21 countries. Article
