A number of privacy and technology groups have teamed up to take on the FCC's ruling that the Internet must comply with wiretap laws. The suits point out that following the laws would clearly slow down innovation. It seems like the FCC doesn't care, however, as it reaffirms its stance that innovation is trumped by law enforcement control. Perhaps it's the times, but it does not bode well for progress. Blog
