- Jessica Uhl, former Shell CFO and GE Vernova president, will become T-Mobile’s next CFO
- Uhl joins as CFO Designate in mid-September and takes over the role in February 2025

T-Mobile has named former Shell CFO and GE Vernova President Jessica Uhl as its next CFO, bringing aboard an executive with experience spanning global capital markets, energy infrastructure and generative AI. The move comes as CEO Srini Gopalan continues to reshape T-Mobile's leadership team and pursue new growth opportunities in enterprise services and AI-powered businesses.
Uhl, taking over for outgoing CFO Peter Osvaldik, will join T-Mobile as CFO Designate effective mid-September. She will work alongside Osvaldik for an extended transition period, succeeding him as CFO in February 2025.
Uhl’s experience includes more than 30 years in financial and strategic leadership roles. At Shell, she served as CFO and oversaw the company’s financial strategy, capital markets execution and investor relations across a business operating in more than 70 countries.
More recently as president of GE Vernova, she oversaw corporate development, strategy and ventures research and development, as well as the company’s generative AI program.
“As T-Mobile continues to drive innovation in this sector that touches all of our lives, I’ll bring my experience in strategy, capital allocation, and building world class teams to build on the momentum already established — continuing to deliver the best experience for T-Mobile’s customers,” she said on LinkedIn.
Once Uhl takes over, Osvaldik will assume a strategic advisor role until his planned retirement at the end of his contract on July 1, 2027. Osvaldik joined T-Mobile in 2016 and was named CFO in 2020, taking over from Braxton Carter.
T-Mobile exec shake-up
The CFO role is the latest in a string of executive shake-ups at T-Mobile since Gopalan took over the CEO role from Mike Sievert in November 2025.
In July, the company announced that long-time marketing guru Mike Katz was stepping away to pursue new professional interests, remaining in a strategic advisory role through December 2026.
Meanwhile, former AT&T executive Chris Sambar recently joined T-Mobile as chief enterprise officer. Among his duties are leading T-Mobile’s SMB, enterprise and government businesses and helping scale emerging growth opportunities, like T-Ads and Physical AI. He reports directly to Gopalan.
Elsewhere, André Almeida was appointed to an expanded position as Chief Marketing, Brand & Broadband Officer, partnering with Chief Operating Officer Jon Freier to oversee T-Mobile’s consumer wireless and broadband businesses.
